THEY WILL ASK thee as to what they should spend on others. Say: "Whatever of your wealth you spend shall [first] be for your parents, and for the near of kin, and the orphans, and the needy, and the wayfarer; and whatever good you do, verily, God has full knowledge thereof." - Al-Baqarah (2:215)

Loving and Giving

I'm pretty tied up these few days... I can't really come up with another story to post. So, I'd like to share this poem ~ something for us all (myself included) to think about...

***********************************************

Whatever you give away today,
or think or say or do
will multiply about tenfold
and then return to you.

It may not come immediately,
nor from the obvious source
but the law applies unfailingly,
through some invisible force.

Whatever you feel about another,
be it love or hate or passion
will surely bounce right back to you
in some clear (or secret) fashion

If you speak about some person,
a word of praise or two,
soon, tens of other people
will speak kind words of you.

Our thoughts are broadcasts of the soul,
not secrets of the brain.
Kind ones bring us happiness;
petty ones, untold pain.

Giving works as surely as reflections in a mirror.
If hate you send, hate you'll get back,
but loving brings love nearer.

Remember, as you start this day
and duty crowds your mind,
that kindness comes so quickly back
to those who first are kind.

Let that thought and this one
direct us through each day.
The only things we ever keep
are the things we give away.

Hi Pi Bani, love the poem, every word is so true. Nothing like giving goodness away.
Life is seldom a straight road but always with pot holes, speed bumps or obstacles...its up to us to find a way around.
Then there's someone like you that encourages us to be better people in life.
Keep well, Pi Bani. UL.
ps, as this open channel, I just say re my message to you before...the hantu got in and past few months tidak boleh pakai or buka. I lost a lot of stuff there too.
I am on IE 5.5, very Jurassic, they switched to 6 above with no warnings. Cheh! Habis my cherita. UL.

Pi,

Alamak... you beat me to it. I thought in my next comment I could tell you to deposit some duit in my account.

OK, as soon as I can find a million bucks to spare, I will drop it in your account.
In the mean time, how about sending me some scrumptious Malaysian food? The more you give, the more you'll receive. :)
Won't that be good?

JT,
Once you send me the million bucks, I'll send you some scrumptuous Malaysian food, hokey dokey? In the mean time, and I mean MEAN time, I'll just send you the pictures... :) (oh dear... there goes my attempt at trying to be a better person... hahaha!)

Pi..your piece touches me and moves me...deeply. Ah! How true, a small tribute ripples an endless tributes too...as long as sincerity is the name.

Take care sis.

Hi Pi Bani, pop over from Uncle Lee's..first thing to 'greet' me is this lovely poem. :)

I believe too that whatever goes around, comes around (or is it comes around, goes around? nvm lah, its goes 'around' anyway hehe)might not be now, but someday, in someway, somehow it will.

You have a great day and bless you for having such a 'giving' heart :)

K.Ruby,
Busy, eh? Good lah, at least it means people need us. Busy tak apa, busybody yang susah sikit... :)

Hi Winnie,
Thanks for hopping over.

Doesn't matter lah, goes around ka... comes around ka... as long as we don't go round and round and round sampai pening...

Bless you too, Winnie!
